- 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Shrimp:
- 8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 clove garlic, minced

For the Lobster Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk (or heavy cream for extra richness)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped (or lobster tails, cooked and finely diced)
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Steak
- Let the steaks sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes to ensure even cooking. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and let it shimmer.
- Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness). During the last minute, add butter, garlic, and rosemary/thyme. Spoon the melted butter over the steaks as they cook.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet, cover loosely with foil, and let them rest.
Step 2: Cook the Shrimp
- In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Lobster Sauce
- In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Add the flour and whisk continuously for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
- Gradually pour in the milk and chicken broth, whisking to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens (about 3-5 minutes).
- Stir in the tomato paste, smoked paprika, and chopped lobster meat. Cook for another 2 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4: Assemble and Serve
- Plate each steak and top with a few shrimp.
- Generously spoon the lobster sauce over the steak and shrimp.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
