Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread (white, brioche, or your favorite type)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows or large marshmallows, halved
  • ½ cup chocolate chips or 2 chocolate bars (milk, dark, or semi-sweet)
  • 2 tablespoons graham cracker crumbs (optional, for extra crunch)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Bread

  1. Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
  2. Place two slices, buttered side down, on a clean surface.

Step 2: Layer the Fillings

  1. Add an even layer of marshmallows to the unbuttered side of the bread.
  2. Sprinkle chocolate chips or place chocolate squares on top of the marshmallows.
  3. For extra crunch, sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the chocolate (optional).
  4. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up, to make a sandwich.

Step 3: Toast the Sandwich

  1. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Place the sandwiches on the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  3. Carefully flip using a spatula and cook for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring the marshmallows and chocolate are melted.

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool slightly.
  2. Slice each sandwich in half and serve warm. Enjoy the gooey, melty deliciousness!

Notes

  • Use Soft Bread: Choose a soft, slightly sweet bread like brioche for the ultimate flavor pairing.
  • Watch the Heat: Cook on medium heat to prevent burning while allowing the chocolate and marshmallows to melt perfectly.
  • Get Creative: Swap chocolate chips for peanut butter cups, white chocolate, or Nutella for a fun twist.
