- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup mini marshmallows or large marshmallows, halved
- ½ cup chocolate chips or 2 chocolate bars (milk, dark, or semi-sweet)
- 2 tablespoons graham cracker crumbs (optional, for extra crunch)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Bread
- Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
- Place two slices, buttered side down, on a clean surface.
Step 2: Layer the Fillings
- Add an even layer of marshmallows to the unbuttered side of the bread.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips or place chocolate squares on top of the marshmallows.
- For extra crunch, sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the chocolate (optional).
- Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up, to make a sandwich.
Step 3: Toast the Sandwich
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Place the sandwiches on the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- Carefully flip using a spatula and cook for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring the marshmallows and chocolate are melted.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
- Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool slightly.
- Slice each sandwich in half and serve warm. Enjoy the gooey, melty deliciousness!
Notes
- Use Soft Bread: Choose a soft, slightly sweet bread like brioche for the ultimate flavor pairing.
- Watch the Heat: Cook on medium heat to prevent burning while allowing the chocolate and marshmallows to melt perfectly.
- Get Creative: Swap chocolate chips for peanut butter cups, white chocolate, or Nutella for a fun twist.
