Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (14 oz) can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream or coconut cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped (reserve some for garnish)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Slow Cooker
- Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker with olive oil.
Step 2: Add the Ingredients
2. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and dried basil.
3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, and minced garlic. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
Step 3: Cook the Chicken
4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
Step 4: Add Final Touches
5. About 15 minutes before serving, stir in the fresh basil and Parmesan cheese, if using. Allow the flavors to meld.

6. Garnish with extra fresh basil and serve hot over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
