  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 ½ cups grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the Pasta and Toppings:

  • 12 oz fettuccine or pappardelle pasta
  • ½ cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Steak
2. Season the steak strips with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
4. Add minced garlic to the skillet in the last minute of cooking for added flavor. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce
5. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
6. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently.
7. Gradually whisk in the parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Keep the sauce warm over low heat.

Step 4: Combine the Ingredients
8. Add the cooked pasta to the alfredo sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
9. Return the steak to the skillet to reheat briefly.

Step 5: Plate and Garnish
10. Divide the pasta among serving plates. Top with the steak strips.
11. Sprinkle with crumbled gorgonzola cheese and fresh parsley. Drizzle with balsamic glaze for a touch of sweetness, if desired.
