For the Chicken:

  • 2 large chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Season and Cook the Chicken

  1. In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the seasoned chicken. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Prepare the Creamy Lemon Garlic Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, add olive oil or butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, lemon zest, lemon juice, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 4: Combine the Pasta and Chicken

  1. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it evenly in the sauce.
  2. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
