Description

Treat yourself to a gourmet meal with these Grilled Lobster Tail Skewers with Garlic Butter. Tender, juicy lobster tails are brushed with a rich garlic butter sauce and grilled to perfection. This recipe is perfect for special occasions, summer cookouts, or whenever you want to indulge in a little luxury.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 lobster tails: About 6-8 oz each, thawed if frozen.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter: Melted for basting.
  • 3 garlic cloves: Minced for bold flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice: Freshly squeezed for a zesty kick.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika: Adds a subtle smoky flavor.
  • Salt and pepper: To taste.
  • Chopped parsley: For garnish.
  • Lemon wedges: For serving.
  • Skewers: Soaked in water if using wooden skewers.

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Lobster Tails

  1. Use kitchen shears to cut through the top of the lobster shell lengthwise.
  2. Gently pull the shell apart and lift the meat out, keeping it attached at the base. Lay the meat on top of the shell for easy grilling.
  3. Insert skewers through the center of the lobster tails to keep them flat while grilling.

Step 2: Make the Garlic Butter

  1. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

Step 3: Grill the Lobster

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375-400°F / 190-200°C).
  2. Place the lobster tails meat-side down on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Flip the tails over and brush generously with the garlic butter.
  4. Grill for another 3-4 minutes until the meat is opaque and slightly charred. Avoid overcooking, as lobster can become tough.

Step 4: Serve

  1. Remove the skewers from the lobster tails and transfer to a serving plate.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Thaw Properly: If using frozen lobster tails, thaw them in the fridge overnight for even cooking.
  • Use Fresh Garlic: Freshly minced garlic adds the best flavor to the butter.
  • Keep an Eye on the Grill: Lobster cooks quickly, so watch closely to avoid overcooking.
  • Customize the Butter: Add a pinch of chili flakes for a spicy kick or fresh herbs like thyme for added aroma.
