Ingredients
Scale
- 4 lobster tails: About 6-8 oz each, thawed if frozen.
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter: Melted for basting.
- 3 garlic cloves: Minced for bold flavor.
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice: Freshly squeezed for a zesty kick.
- 1 teaspoon paprika: Adds a subtle smoky flavor.
- Salt and pepper: To taste.
- Chopped parsley: For garnish.
- Lemon wedges: For serving.
- Skewers: Soaked in water if using wooden skewers.
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Lobster Tails
- Use kitchen shears to cut through the top of the lobster shell lengthwise.
- Gently pull the shell apart and lift the meat out, keeping it attached at the base. Lay the meat on top of the shell for easy grilling.
- Insert skewers through the center of the lobster tails to keep them flat while grilling.
Step 2: Make the Garlic Butter
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Step 3: Grill the Lobster
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375-400°F / 190-200°C).
- Place the lobster tails meat-side down on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Flip the tails over and brush generously with the garlic butter.
- Grill for another 3-4 minutes until the meat is opaque and slightly charred. Avoid overcooking, as lobster can become tough.
Step 4: Serve
- Remove the skewers from the lobster tails and transfer to a serving plate.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- Thaw Properly: If using frozen lobster tails, thaw them in the fridge overnight for even cooking.
- Use Fresh Garlic: Freshly minced garlic adds the best flavor to the butter.
- Keep an Eye on the Grill: Lobster cooks quickly, so watch closely to avoid overcooking.
- Customize the Butter: Add a pinch of chili flakes for a spicy kick or fresh herbs like thyme for added aroma.
