Ingredients
- 2 small sourdough slices or 1 large slice (about 1-inch thick)
- 8 oz cooked lobster meat (chopped into bite-sized pieces)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional, for a slight kick)
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Garlic Butter
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with olive oil.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Stir in paprika, chili flakes (if using), and lemon juice. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
Step 2: Cook the Lobster
4. Add the cooked lobster pieces to the garlic butter mixture and cook for 2-3 minutes until warmed through. Stir occasionally to coat the lobster in the sauce.
Step 3: Toast the Sourdough
5. Lightly brush both sides of the sourdough slices with olive oil.
6. Toast the bread in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy. Alternatively, use a hot skillet for 2-3 minutes per side.
Step 4: Assemble the Lobster Sourdough
7. Once the sourdough is ready, spoon the garlic butter lobster mixture evenly over the slices.
8. Sprinkle grated parmesan and chopped parsley on top.
Step 5: Broil (Optional)
9. For an extra cheesy finish, place the topped sourdough under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until the parmesan is melted and slightly golden.
Step 6: Serve
10. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for an added burst of freshness.
Notes
- Fresh Lobster: Use fresh, cooked lobster if available, but frozen lobster works in a pinch—just make sure to thaw it properly.
- Don’t Skip the Lemon: The acidity cuts through the richness and brightens the dish.
- Customize Your Toppings: Try adding a sprinkle of chives or a drizzle of truffle oil for a gourmet twist.
