Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Beef
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and the ground beef.
- Cook the beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until browned and fully cooked, about 6–8 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
Step 2: Make the Garlic Butter BBQ Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
Step 3: Combine Beef and Sauce
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss to coat it evenly in the garlic butter BBQ sauce. Simmer for another 2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
Step 4: Warm the Tortillas
- Warm the tortillas in a small pan or microwave for 30 seconds until soft and pliable.
Step 5: Assemble the Tacos
- Fill each tortilla with a generous spoonful of the beef mixture.
- Top with shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, red onions, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
- Squeeze lime juice over the tacos before serving.
Notes
- Don’t Overstuff: Keep the filling light so you can fold and enjoy them easily.
