Instructions
Step 1: Make the Caramel Filling
- In a small saucepan, gently heat the caramel sauce and condensed milk over low heat. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
- Transfer the caramel filling to a bowl and refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm enough to scoop.
Step 2: Shape the Truffles
- Using a small spoon or cookie scoop, scoop out portions of the chilled caramel mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls with your hands.
- Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for 30 minutes to firm up.
Step 3: Coat the Truffles
- Melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil or butter in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth.
- Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each caramel ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Place the coated truffles back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with sea salt flakes immediately before the chocolate sets.
Step 4: Let Them Set
- Allow the truffles to set at room temperature or in the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens completely.

- Work Quickly: The caramel filling softens quickly at room temperature, so keep your hands cool or return the filling to the fridge if needed.
