Packed with protein and flavor, it’s the perfect way to fuel your morning or even enjoy as a quick lunch. Ready in just minutes, it’s great for busy mornings or when you need a satisfying bite on the go!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 bagels (whole wheat or your favorite type)
  • 2 turkey sausage patties
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil (for cooking)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: fresh spinach, sliced tomato, avocado, or your favorite condiments

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Turkey Sausages

  1. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a splash of olive oil or a light coat of cooking spray.
  2. Cook the turkey sausage patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Step 2: Toast the Bagels

  1. While the sausages are cooking, slice the bagels in half and toast them to your desired level of crispiness.

Step 3: Cook the Eggs

  1. In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter or heat a drizzle of oil.
  2. Fry the eggs sunny-side-up or over-easy, depending on your preference. Alternatively, scramble the eggs if you prefer.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper while cooking.

Step 4: Assemble the Bagels

  1. Place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each toasted bagel.
  2. Add a cooked turkey sausage patty on top of the cheese.
  3. Place the cooked egg on top of the sausage patty.
  4. Add any optional toppings, such as spinach, tomato slices, or avocado.
  5. Finish with the top half of the bagel.

Notes

  • Toast the Bagel Just Right: A lightly crisped bagel gives a nice texture and holds up well to the toppings.
  • Customize the Flavor: Add a spread of cream cheese, spicy mustard, or a drizzle of hot sauce for extra flavor.
  • Prep Ahead: Cook the sausage patties in advance and reheat them for an even faster breakfast.
