Ingredients

  • Cream Cheese (8 oz, softened)
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese (1 cup, shredded)
  • Dill Pickles (½ cup, finely chopped)
  • Pickle Juice (1 tbsp, for extra tang)
  • Garlic Powder (½ tsp)
  • Onion Powder (½ tsp)
  • Dried Dill (1 tsp)
  • Black Pepper (¼ tsp)
  • Green Onions (2, finely chopped)
  • Crushed Pretzels or Chopped Pecans (for coating, about ½ cup)

Instructions

Step 1: Mix the Cheese Base
In a large bowl, mix softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped pickles, pickle juice, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, black pepper, and green onions. Stir until well combined.

Step 2: Shape into Mini Cheese Balls
Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, form the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place them on a plate lined with parchment paper.

Step 3: Coat the Cheese Balls
Roll each cheese ball in crushed pretzels or chopped pecans to add a crunchy coating.

Step 4: Chill & Serve
Refrigerate the cheese balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up. Serve chilled with crackers, pretzels, or fresh veggies.

Notes

  • Use Cold Ingredients: This makes shaping easier.
  • Chill Before Rolling: If the mixture is too soft, chill for 10 minutes before shaping.
  • Customize It: Add crumbled bacon or jalapeños for extra flavor!
