If you’re looking for the ultimate crispy, flavorful, and slightly spicy chicken, this Crispy Bang Bang Chicken is exactly what you need! Golden-fried chicken bites are coated in a creamy, sweet, and spicy Bang Bang sauce that’s absolutely irresistible. Perfect for an appetizer, game day, or even a fun dinner!

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • Chicken Breast (1 lb, cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • Cornstarch (½ cup)
  • Flour (½ cup)
  • Egg (1, beaten)
  • Garlic Powder (1 tsp)
  • Paprika (1 tsp)
  • Salt (½ tsp)
  • Black Pepper (½ tsp)
  • Oil (for frying)

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • Mayonnaise (½ cup)
  • Sweet Chili Sauce (¼ cup)
  • Sriracha (1 tbsp, adjust for spice level)
  • Honey (1 tbsp)
  • Lemon Juice (1 tsp)

For Garnish:

  • Green Onions (chopped)
  • Sesame Seeds

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Dip the chicken pieces in the beaten egg, then coat them in the flour mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.

Step 2: Fry the Chicken

  1. Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep pan or skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry the coated chicken in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Step 3: Make the Bang Bang Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, and lemon juice until smooth.

Step 4: Toss & Serve

  1. Toss the crispy chicken in the Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated.
  2. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Double Coat for Extra Crunch – Dip the chicken in the egg and flour mixture twice for extra crispiness.
  • Keep Oil at the Right Temp – Too hot = burnt, too cold = greasy chicken. Aim for 350°F (175°C).
  • Don’t Overcrowd the Pan – Fry in batches to keep the chicken crispy.
  • Adjust the Heat – Add more or less Sriracha depending on your spice preference.
