Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients

  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.
  2. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. If the dough feels stiff, mix in the milk a tablespoon at a time.
