Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast (2 medium, diced) – Tender and juicy.

  • Salt & Pepper (to taste) – Enhances the flavor.

  • Garlic Powder (½ tsp) – Adds depth.

  • Olive Oil (1 tbsp) – For cooking the chicken.

For the Tortellini & Alfredo Sauce:

  • Cheese Tortellini (20 oz, fresh or frozen) – Pillowy pasta filled with creamy cheese.

  • Butter (2 tbsp) – The base for a rich sauce.

  • Garlic (3 cloves, minced) – Essential for flavor.

  • Heavy Cream (1 ½ cups) – Creates the creamy texture.

  • Parmesan Cheese (1 cup, grated) – Adds nutty, cheesy goodness.

  • Salt & Pepper (to taste) – Balances flavors.

  • Nutmeg (¼ tsp, optional) – A subtle warm touch.

  • Fresh Parsley (for garnish, chopped) – Adds color and freshness.


Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Chicken

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Season the diced chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Tortellini

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  2. Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions.

  3. Drain and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce

  1. In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt butter over medium heat.

  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. Pour in the heavy cream and whisk to combine. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to thicken slightly.

  4. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, whisking continuously until smooth.

  5. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using).

Step 4: Combine Everything

  1. Add the cooked tortellini and chicken into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce.

  2. Toss everything together until well coated and heated through.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!

 

  1. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

  2. Serve immediately and enjoy every creamy, cheesy bite!

Notes

Use Freshly Grated Parmesan – It melts better and gives the sauce a smoother texture.
Don’t Overcook the Tortellini – It should be tender but not mushy.
For a Lighter Version – Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
Add Veggies – Spinach, mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes make great additions.
