Description

If you’re looking for a hearty and flavorful breakfast, this dish has everything you need! It’s a perfect combination of protein, crispy textures, and a touch of sweetness to balance it all out. With golden eggs, juicy beef sausages, sautéed mushrooms, crispy fried bread, and sweet corn drizzled with a delicious sweet sauce, this breakfast is sure to start your day on the right note.


Ingredients

  • Eggs (2 large) – Cooked to your preference (fried, scrambled, or poached).
  • Beef Sausages (2-3 pieces) – Juicy and flavorful.
  • Mushrooms (1 cup, sliced) – Adds an earthy, umami taste.
  • Bread (2 slices) – Preferably thick-cut for frying.
  • Sweet Corn (½ cup, cooked) – A touch of natural sweetness.
  • Butter (2 tbsp) – For frying the bread and eggs.
  • Olive Oil (1 tbsp) – For cooking the sausages and mushrooms.
  • Salt & Black Pepper – To taste.

For the Sweet Sauce:

 

  • Honey (1 tbsp) – Adds natural sweetness.
  • Soy Sauce (1 tsp) – For a hint of depth.
  • Garlic Powder (½ tsp) – Enhances the flavor.
  • Lemon Juice (½ tsp) – Brightens up the sauce.

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Sausages

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  2. Add the beef sausages and cook for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 2: Sauté the Mushrooms
3. In the same pan, add the sliced mushrooms.
4. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and golden. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 3: Fry the Bread
5. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in the skillet.
6. Add the slices of bread and fry for about 2 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.

Step 4: Cook the Eggs
7. In the same pan, melt the remaining butter.
8. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook them sunny-side-up (or to your preference). Season with salt and pepper.

Step 5: Prepare the Sweet Sauce
9. In a small saucepan, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and lemon juice over low heat. Stir until well combined and slightly thickened.

 

Step 6: Assemble and Serve
10. Arrange the fried bread, cooked eggs, sausages, sautéed mushrooms, and sweet corn on a plate.
11. Drizzle the sweet sauce over the corn and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Crispier Bread: Use day-old bread for extra crunch.
  • Perfect Eggs: Cook eggs on low heat for the best texture.
