These delightful treats are the perfect combination of chewy and fluffy, making them an irresistible snack for any occasion. Whether you’re baking for a family gathering, a party, or just to indulge yourself, these cookies will have everyone asking for the recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries (pat dry if using frozen)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and mix until fully combined.

Step 2: Fold in the Blueberries

  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined—don’t overmix!
  2. Gently fold in the blueberries and white chocolate chips (if using), being careful not to mash the berries.

Step 3: Shape and Bake

  1. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden, but the centers remain soft.

Step 4: Cool and Enjoy

  1. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Serve warm or at room temperature for a heavenly treat!

Notes

  • Use Fresh Blueberries: If using frozen blueberries, thaw and pat them dry to avoid excess moisture in the dough.
  • Chill the Dough: If your dough feels too soft, refrigerate it for 20-30 minutes before baking to prevent spreading.
  • Experiment with Flavors: Add a pinch of cinnamon or lemon zest for a unique twist.
